When she says this, she is referring to the fact that people have been saying horrible things about her. Not only has she been called a name that makes her sound like a cat, but people have also been making fun of her for being "shy", even though she is completely confident in herself. However, there is one quote in the book that really stood out for me. It read: "You know, I think some people are born with a thirst for knowledge.

It's not something they can learn - it's just something they're born with." As I read this quote, I felt like the author was describing myself. I've always loved learning. I've always loved reading books.

And, even though I don't get to do it as often as I would like because of all the other things that are going on in my life, when I do get to read a book it really fills my heart with joy!
